We're engaged!

That is all.

Nah, I'm just kidding.

We were on vacation in St. Maarten this past week. On our first night there, we went to the main town, Philipsburg, for dinner. When we came back to our hotel, we decided to go take a walk along the beach, but Frank wanted to brush his teeth first because he had eaten onions during dinner. However, I forgot to pack the toothpaste, so we went to the little store and bought some gum and toothpaste for later.

We walked along the water and started talking about our future, children, and all that good stuff. I saw that Frank was fiddling with his pocket and got down on one knee. Now, I had been thinking that this vacation might be the time when he would propose, but I kept trying to talk myself out of it so I wouldn't be disappointed if it didn't happen during vacation. So instead of looking down at him, I did my best to maintain eye contact (Frank says I stared out into the ocean like Stevie Wonder playing the piano. And it's ok to say that because Stevie Wonder won't read this). Who knows, maybe he had an itch on his ankle and was trying to scratch it. That's what I was trying to believe.

He asked if I would marry him, and shockingly, I said yes. I now have the most beautiful ring on my finger and won't stop staring at it (Frank says I act like Gollum in Lord of the Rings).

We spent the rest of our vacation on jet skis, horseback riding, snorkeling, eating delicious food on the French side of the island, and exploring other islands and beaches. It was fantastic.

We have no idea when or where the wedding will be. But if you want to pay for it, you're invited! We also have no idea how often we'll update this site.

Love,
Frophie

Hello Frophie!

LOL!:D
Nice prose guys! I really enjoyed "the very moment" description which sounds so true to what it means when you're part of the real scene...I can remember...and especially with the Stevie Wonder and Lord of the Rings allusions!
Excellent start guys! We wish you ALL the best towards the BIG event (for it is a marathon) and longever after of course! :-)
We'll be there for sure, whenever or wherever it takes place (but just try to let us know in advance to make all the arrangements for travelling, kids, and all the rest if U can!)

Love and hugs from both of us Paris and we'll send some more from the 4 of us from Montreal as soon as we get back :-)
